I had a problem with a cat using the corner of the living room for a litter box. After replacing the carpet and installing hardwood, I thought the problem was solved. But no. I heard some scratching noise on the hardwood and went to investigate and found a rather unpleasant pile. What I found to solve the problem is called SSSCat. It is about the size of a hairspray can and the top contains a motion sensor. When the cat walks by it blasts a spray of air. I put one in each of the 2 corners the offenses were occurring. One blast was all it took. That cat will not set foot in the room again. you can use it on counters, furniture, rooms you want to keep the cat out of. And here I asm ... wondering which of the silly things that I accused myself of lately ... ... and now can't remember ... ... that I should try to dredge up - to share. graywings -- for 19 years DH and I chaired our Rotary Club Oktoberfest in our city park. DH decorated the Shelter House so it looked like Bavaria and I cooked ALL the food -- our numbers were always around 100. The last year we did it we had like 60 reservations. Our menu is simple -- brats and buns, sauerkraut, hot potato salad, Cole slaw and apple crisp. It's a family affair and people would bring their kids and so we got hot dogs for them. Well, those 60 came and then people who hadn't said they were coming came and brought guests with them -- we ended up with a little over 100. I had probably 70 brats. So we served the food! Kids -- no brats, hot dogs only (and some adults didn't want brats either so they also ate hot dogs) and one brat per person (in years past some took 2 or 3 first time through) and then we dished up the other dishes if the person wanted them. Believe it or not, EVERYONE got a full plate of food and there were a few brats left. We had some guys mad because they couldn't get their 2 or 3 but we smiled and said come back after everyone has gone through. And they did! It is forever in Rotary Lore as the Loaves and Fishes Oktoberfest! Those who helped me couldn't believe that we did it! And when the last one was served and we had food left, I'm not sure I believed it either!
