I really wouldn't do this. The important thing is to keep tanning down to a bare minimum. To let your skin burn is just crazy! You'll end up with skin cancers and unnecessary wrinkles. You'll look older than others of the same age because of this. So train yourself to start early and come in by 9:30 a.m. Go back out at 7 p.m. or so. I'm not kidding. Train yourself to use hats and high-spf (45 or higher) products with both UVA and UVB protection. Neutrogena has some very good products. I have one with skin lotion in it and one is a spray-on product. Take it from someone who has had 3 cancerous lesions removed from my face so far. Two of those were MOS surgeries, very time-consuming, often requiring the patient be there most of the day or two days in a row, not counting follow-up visits and walking around with bandages for a while. Just saying...that stuff won't do a darn thing to prevent severe damage to the skin and eventual skin cancers and wrinkles.

I have a jar each of Vitamin E cream and Ester C cream. Does anyone know if it is better to use one or the other for day or night?

John, I am not sure the lights you have bought will give you the intensity in output to make a significant difference. The so called 100 watt equivalent CFL bulbs give you only about 1,600 lumens each. Just for comparison my 400 watt metal halide grow lamp puts out 32,000 lumens. It gives too many sources of glare to the eyes. I think a bounced even all around ambient bright illumination feels the best. I believe humans react to light more than just visually by eyes. That's why blind people can also have SAD problems. Also, a blue incandescent light does not give more blue light than a regular white incandescent light. You may also look into getting a dust/dawn light to wake you up in the morning, and to put you to sleep at night. Looking at the picture of your office, I have a few suggestions: 1. Have your monitors oriented away from the window. Your pupil react to bright window light and contracts, making it a strain to view the text on the monitors. So you compensate by turning the screens to their brightest, but that create another problem to the eyes when it gets dark outside. In addition, for visitors to your office, the displays on the screens can be a distraction. I don�t know in your line of work whether it is important to provide privacy to the materials displayed. For some businesses that is a legal requirement. Do you have glass wall/door to your office? I noticed that you hang your coat on the chair, and not on the coat hook behind the door. 2. I am sure you have tried to set up your monitors most comfortable to your own preference. To me, it seems the monitors should be about 3" lower. I think that would be more ergonomic. Also, if you stack the monitors there will be less neck issues. Most multi-monitor traders have there monitors stacked (see link below). Where you spend the most time, everything contributes to your general well being. The problems are probably coming from the food makers that are adding vitamins to cereals, juices,(calcium) Ensure is 1 big vitamin drink etc. So if you take a multi, eat vitamin fortified cereal & have an Ensure or similar drink you are getting 3 vitamin pills. A number of other products & even vitamin pills such as calcium have added zinc, vit.D3 or magnesium added ,to them so you get some more stuff added to doses you already took. Things like V8 Fusion have a number of vitamins. They are even adding chloride to multi -vitamin- I think most people get too much salt so don't need another dose of chloride. But if you eat oatmeal each day & live alone you are not likely to get all the vitamins & minerals from your food as you would have to fix meals with at least 2 veggies,some fruit etc. Well, most seniors I know don't get all the daily fresh fruits & veggies so a single vitamin pill might be best for them. asking a dr. about supplements is rather waste of time, some take several themselves & others never do. Many drs. aren't too healthy themselves. Also if you are very healthy they lose business. Drs. call it politics- I call it their paycheck!
