Their Aerify product is soap, much like dish soap. I have a liquid soil aerator I'll sell you. It's called dihydrogen oxide. You run it through your soaker hose V-E-R-Y slowly, at a rate of about 10 gallons per day, continually for a week at a time. Then move the soaker hose about 18 inches and continue running the wat...oops, I mean dihydrogen oxide through it for another week. Continue moving the hose every week until you have covered your entire yard. Then, if your soil has not softened appreciably, start over again. I had to use the H2O three times before my soil was where I wanted it to be. As for improving your soil, anything you can add that has protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, bacteria, yeast, or fungi in it is good. Hmmm. Sounds like food, doesn't it! Dry dog or cat food makes an excellent food supplement for soils. So does plain old wheat flour, alfalfa, corn meal, coffee grounds (think Starbucks), soy bean meal, cottonseed meal, or any other ground up bean, seed, or nut. Dust a layer at a rate of 10-20 pounds per 1,000 square feet on top of the soil and you will see the difference in 21 days. You can get most of these ingredients in 50-pound bags at the feed store for under $10.

I am a diagnosed insomniac - have been to a sleep disorder clinic. I can't take over the counter sleep aids because they all seem to contain the same ingredient that is used in anti-histamines and decongestants - and I am allergic to said cold meds. I can't take codeine either. The "happy" shot before surgery doesn't take and a local that should keep an area numb for a couple of hours will burn off in 5 minutes - so procedures don't scare me, it is the knowing that I will feel the pain that does it. So I count to 3 and wait for it. I woke up still in the operating room after the surgeons yanked out a kidney stone and remembered the names of all of the nurses and doctors. I tried the Cdn. equivalent of Ambien - 5 days later I was still up. When I wake up - usually after 3 or 4 hours sleep I am instantly alert - should have been a brain surgeon. My husband has witnessed it - he wakes up and then goes back to sleep - but not me. And I have tried everything. The tapes knocked my husband and aunt out - all they did was irritate the heck out of me. I am in quite in good health for a 63 year old but as my doctor said I have these issues that make life miserable. I don't take pain killers either. Re Vioxx - I get migraines and zip worked - except Vioxx had the side effect of working on migraines. I only took one when desperate - so if I had 30 pills I would have 26 three years later. I was about to pop one when the recall notice came on the news so I didn't. I don't have a condition that would be aggravated by Vioxx, but no point in risking it. Good thing that I have perfect blood pressure even when I appear to be bouncing off the walls - the gold standard. It makes life hard though because it was hard enough when I was younger when people were constantly telling me how tired I looked - and at 63 well I do look older and tired. It is really hard to make plans not knowing how I will feel. I eat nothing from a can/box or anything that has been preserved to the best of my ability. I only eat anti-biotic free meat - which in Canada means our food bills are high.

I was going to try the vinegar, but am glad i called electrolux and that you guys wrote in. I got to try the Sears detergent yesterday, and i really like it. My clothes had a fresh smell, no strong perfumey smell at all. I only used 1 TBL, but i may need to add a little more. I will just have to do trial and error to get the right amount. I did tear my bounce sheet into 3rds. I may try the dryer bar, but doesn't it also put a film on the sensors since it gets on the clothes? I have been wiping the sensors after every other load, so it is still a little confusing. I haven't really found any fabric softener that i like the smell of. I have tried Gain and mixed it with water in the dispensor, but didn't care for the smell. I know i could probably get a softener that is fragrance free, but i do like the smell of bounce when i don't use a whole sheet. Also Larsi, do you wash your sheets on the heavy duty setting since it has no bedding option? Also i have a queen bed, i put all the sheets in plus a couple towels to help the tumble. It seems like it is not enough in there, but i don't like to do towels on anything other than sanitize. How many sheets do you put in yours? Also, how many of the bath towels? I have the thicker ones and always worry about over loading. I usually do towels and wash cloths together, with some kitchen towels. I put 4 bath towels, 4-5 wash cloths,4-5 kitchen towels and wash cloths, and i worry if thats too many. Thanks for all the info. We had a bad experience at Sears once and the manager was a d---! Bought a set from Best Buy and they crossed threaded my hoses and our floor got flooded before we could pull the set out to get to the turn-off. They didn't care at all. Spoke to management, then corporate. Did nada about it, so i told them to come pick them up. I haven't had to wait for an order from lowes before. When i tried the IQ touch, it came the next day.I think everybody's stock is low due to the rebate. Millions bought appliances. I never could get through to get or reserve a rebate, and it just chaps my you know what!! i know i am probably being over cautious with this front loader, but it's a lota bucks and i can't buy one every couple years. Very true, kfhl - many air fresheners work by using nasal anesthetics to keep you from smelling whatever you're trying to cover up. Now that I have very few things that are chemically scented in the house, walking past the aisle of air fresheners actually burns my nose. We use natural beeswax candles if we want to use one - but that's usually saved for power outages. As far as the free and clear products are concerned...you can't be certain that it is safe for allergy sufferers. My husband is actually allergic to many components of commercially produced free/clear products - including a chemical that is frequently added to such products to 'remove' the other strong smells in the product to create a 'fragrance free' item - in lieu of adding a 'fragrance'.
