I haven't had planters wart since I was very little, but a few years ago, I had a wart on the side of my face and found that Edgar Cayce recommended castor oil for warts. I'm not sure how I learned about black walnut, but one day I was walking in the parking lot at work and found a crushed black walnut and rubbed the fruit on my wart. Then, I started using the castor oil and the wart was gone in few days. Planer's warts are very painful, too. I found this online specifically recommended by Cayce for plantars' warts. Hope this isn't redundant. This is a long thread... It would be nice if this solution worked for all warts, but it seems from the readings that there are some instances where the warts require a different approach. In this case, the situation appears to be plantar warts, a painful situation indeed! Here, Cayce suggests mixing spirits of camphor with baking soda. We've been having rain every day for about the same amount of time that you have, but we're not over the drought yet. It hasn't been raining all day long in our area so the water table is still low. DD works 7 miles from my house and it rains there more than it does at my house. Seems the rain stops just before it gets to the curve south of our house. @:) DH's little water hole is full but the jungle isn't flooded. When the jungle is flooded and there's standing water in the 'sunken garden' then we know we've had enough rain. I know I keep talking about our jungle....should post a picture of it so you'd know what I'm talking about. Daytona Raceway was flooded yesterday....don't know about any races except for the Indy 500 today. Sharon

We had trouble finding contractors for our remodel until a member from this Gardenweb site recommended Angie's list to me. It turned out it was a sound advice. I read every review of contractors in the category we were looking for. I picked out ones who had done projects of similar size and dollar amount. It helped me to compile a list of questions and contractors to call. We set appointments with contractors who sounded promising in the phone conversations. We met these contractors in person and presented scope of work. We then made final decision based on their quotes, personality, feedback from their references, work style and starting time. Angie's list provides a starting point; there is fair amount of work afterwards to screen contractors. We know there is risk involved because good contractors work out with other clients may not guarantee they would work well for us. We like to spell out details and specifications, a contractor may think we are difficult. We figured, at least we made informed decisions. We liked the contractor we chose so much while half way working the first project, we asked them to plan for another one. We are very happy with both projects, and had great working experience with the contractor and all of his subs. I left a glorious review for the contractor and his company on AngieâÂÂs list. I also mailed him my review so that he could use it as a reference. On a different subject - we had used Consumer Report for almost 30 years, but in recent years, we are not so sure about their ratings....

I have some word signs. Hand made on reclaimed wood with a bible verse that is important to me and another with a saying that means something to me. I have noticed that word art is everywhere. I am not a fan of most of what I see in stores because I like that I made my art myself with words that I thought about before using and hanging on my walls. I do have one "store bought" sign (it's just the word FAMILY) but I bought it bc it is the perfect shade of red in a room that needed one more red item. When and if I find something else to take its place in the future I won't feel bad about replacing it because it didn't cost much. I bought it at Homegoods. I didn't think my signs were pedestrian. But this isn't the first time that reading a thread has made me realise my decor choices aren't cool, original, or in vogue at Gardenweb. Regardless, I love what I put on my walls and it is me and my family that has to read them every day...so they stay. If a friend chose not to visit because of the way that I decorate...well that's a friend I don't mind losing.
