Well I went out and pulled off the dark brown/black ones that have dried out. Cracking open the shell was a lot like cracking open some peanuts. Anyways, the beans that came out were perfect. I still have the original batch of soybeans from the asian market. My grown ones look almost exactly the same. The only difference is that mine are just not quite as fat. Also I'm growing some mung beans. Same deal there, I pulled off a dry pod and cracked it open. The beans look the same as the bag of mung beans I grew them from. I'm still amazed I got any beans at all from these plants. I mean I truly treated them like crap. They were not at the edge of my balcony but close to my door. So they only got direct sunlight for about 5 hours a day. The stuff at the edge get 8 or 9 hours. I grew them in crappy $4 for 40 pound "organic" potting soil. No fertilizers added or anything. I really haven't been very diligent with watering them either. These bean plants never had any good looking leaves. They've all been full of brown spots and frayed edges. I've built one of those earthbox type self watering containers and have a tomato plant and basil plant in it. They've grown so quick and look so healthy. I'm going to build some more and I want to try a soybean plant in there to see how it does when it's treated nice.

"When your body is worn out"..... humm. We don't think it will ever happen to us until it actually heppens, but it sure does happen - it's inevitable. I was hopping around a squash court only about 5 or 6 year ago, but now at 65, getting on a treadmill only for 30 min. daily is a big deal. Once you get over the hill, down slope seems to get increasingly steeper.... ;-( Since we accumulate knowledge and become wiser through experience, it is natural that we pass them on to less experienced people. Or, we may become smart enough to hire people to have them do most of physical labor. There are few more choices I can think of; One is to establish nichey expertise. One good xample is my wife. she is specialized in prunine Japnese maple tree. She mastered it through experience and self-learning, and become a real master. And, she is expensive now. (Come to think of it, she has always been expensive.... haha). Another choice is what I am doing - to introduce something new. There are so many things we don't know in this world; every country has its own unique things and method. It is a real fun to introduce new things, and when and if it turns into a business, it would be even better.

i'm not a fan. we're putting together a pretty luxe master; double sinks, bain air tub, two commodes and a large walk in shower. the shower has a rain head, massage head and a hand spray. no steam, no body sprays. maybe not so luxe after all? my inlaws have body sprays and yikes ...i HATE them.

It's no wonder you're having trouble sleeping with that bright light shining into your bedroom. The management of the other building may not realize that it's so intrusive. Perhaps you could ask them to adjust it so that it doesn't shine so directly into you apt. I rarely have trouble getting to sleep, but I sometimes hve trouble staying asleep and find myself awake in the wee hours. It doesn't happen very often now, but the last few years of my working life it was almost every night. I chalked it up to having work related things on my mind. Anyway, what I did/do that works like a charm for me is to play a mental exercise. I'll pick something like places, foods, names, etc., and starting with the letter A think of all of the places/foods/names I can that start with A. When I can't think of anymore, I move to B and so on. Rarely do I get further than C or D before falling back to sleep. An example of places could go something like Alaska, Arkansas, Amsterdam, Africa, Albuquerque and so on. I'm always amazed at how well it works as I would think it would stimulate my brain and make me more awake, but it seems to have the opposite effect.
