Ron, So you use liquid organic fertilizer. That's what I wondered. I had poor experience with just solid organic fertilizer in the past, although it was in an overly wet SWC. "How old is that urine? What doasge do you use?" The age varies from just created to several weeks. Doesn't seem to matter to much. After about 2 days the pH goes above 8, so it is alkaline. Which might be an advantage when using leaves. I dilute it about 1:5 HLF:water. Don't keep track of dosage. Whenever the leaves look a little yellowish, I add some. Same with the Foliage Pro. Also if the weather is cold, I don't add too much HLF, even if the leaves are yellowish, since when it heats up, much more of the nitrogen becomes available quickly. It does take a lot of HLF to hurt a plant. As an experiment I kept overdosing a small 1.5' tomato plant in the ground to see what it could take. It took 2 cups of undiluted HLF poured right onto the stem base to kill it. The tubs are 18 gallons, big enough for a tomato. "Isn't it high in salts, even diluted?" It has much less salt in it then Foliage Pro. I spilled a little of each in separate trays and let them evaporate, just to compare the salt concentration. "I am skeptical, mainly because pee kills things, and contains all the toxins your body flushes out. I'd have to say that draining in your "pots" couldn't be the best thing.." I had a friend who drained directly in his flower pots. Whenever the neighborhood garden club came over they always exclaimed on how great his flowers were & asked for his secret. He delightfully revealed his secret to their dismay. My wife now asks me to do the same. There's a lot of university research that's been done in Sweden on this subject, that was discussed over a year ago here. You can search on urine and my name to find it. They have villages in Sweden where the city collects the urine and gives it to the local farmers.

hercules, I see a problem with your question. As I understand oils, None of the latest oils are natural. They could all be considered synthetic. They are all cracked (modified) after being pumped out of the ground. 50 (100?) years ago oil was pumped out of the ground and then distilled by its boiling point. Thicker oils boil at higher temperatures. I have read that Amsoil and Mobil 1 oil is a PAO (type 4). Castrol (and most other synthetics) are type 3 hydrocracked. I think esters are type 5, but I don't know where they are used. So most blends would seem to be a mix of cracked and hydrocracked. Mobil 1 should be a mix of cracked and PAO's. So I would think the question should be what type of oil AND what percentage. I am not sure that it even matters which base is used. Perhaps we should look at the approvals on the back label. While the SL (and SM) oils have better testing and improved refineing to meet the testing, I have read that euopean standards are even tougher. BTW.. I saw the evidence that mobil 1 was way better than valvaline 25 years ago. But then in 1990, mobil had a new formulation. then they came out with a new version in the late 90's. And now they are on their 2nd or 3rd version of supersynth. Other (conventional) oils have changed just as much, or maybe more. Oh, As to mobil 1 pouring easier than valvoline, we had a winter in 1983 (dec) that had many mornings below -30. I took jars of 5w-30 outside and tipped them over several mornings. Both 5w-30 oils (valvoline and mobil 1) poured about the same. But of course they do, that what the 5w-xx means! The mobil 1 looked like a smooth honey. The valvoline looked awful, that would be cloudy and even chunky. I also had a 10-30, but it set up and wouldn't pour at all when turned over, hence its thicker rateing. Further, In the car the valvoline broke down under pressure to be thinner much faster and let the oil pressure go down much faster than mobil 1. So mobil 1 gave higher oil pressure for longer. The valvoline reminded me of jello, poor flow, but little resistance to pressure. JerryO

I recommend reading Suzanne Somers book: The Sexy Years. I did and ended up with bioidentical hormones. While she doesn't specifically talk about subcutaneous pellets, that is what I have. I wrote a thread here with alot of detail. It's called Bioidentical Hormone Pellets" In short, I get estrogen and testosterone pellets implanted in my hip. They are the closest to what I make, not metabolized by the liver and does not have near the breast risk that synthetics or pills do. The deliver a consistent low dose. I get them every 3-4 months. I do not believe in suffering with symptoms when there are options. I would never use synthetic from a pregnant mare. I've read how they are abused to obtain the urine. I have never felt better in my life. I'm 54, had a hysterectomy 20 years ago, have never had kids. I also recommend seeing a doctor that specializes in bioidentical hormones and menopause. I just started taking femhrt today. I am a 52 year old diabetic with high blood pressure. I have had creepy, crawly, itchy skin for over a year and my periods have slowed down. I did not want to go on HRT, but the past few weeks have been horrendous due to frequent night sweats and hot flashes. My sleep has been interrupted so often, and I find it difficult to get back to sleep. I don't want to live like this the rest of my life, so I called my gyn. He prescribed femhrt, however, I am concerned about it and my diabetes/high blood pressure. Is there anyone else out there with this combination of condifions on HRT? I would love to hear about your experiences. Thanks!
