anyone use biest for menstrual migraine?

For the last few months I've been using the bio identical hormone creams progesterone and testosterone hoping they would help with my migraines. I'm in perimenapause at 45 and now my doctor wants me to add biest. I'm worried because of the risk of breast cancer. Has anyone tried this for migraines?

RE: anyone use biest for menstrual migraine?

Hi there - I too have suffered from migraines. And menopausal ones are just as bad for me. I've read that menopausal migraines are related to hormonal changes and hits those who have been sensitive in the past. I've actually found that aroma therapies have helped me: peppermint, sandlewood (one of my favorites), lavender and eucalyptus. Make a compress by putting 5 drops of lavender essential oil in cold (or warm) water. Swish around a soft cloth, then put it on your head or neck. Pressure on the webbed part of my hand between my finger and thumb helps me also, along with putting my hands and wrists in very hot water - this seems to pull the pressure out of my head.
I hope this helps. Bobbi
