spotting and left ovary pain

Hi all,
I'm a newbie but any insight would be appreciated.I am 45 years old. I have had a tubal 19 yrs ago and a transvaginal ultrasound last year revealed two small fibroids. My problem is that right before my period, i spot a little every day, have bad!!!! lower left pain (like in ovary region) and backache. It's like my period is trying to come but can't. I worry about ovarian cancer but the tech that did my ultrasound said i had some small cysts but otherwise looked fine. Any suggestions? Thanx |

| Hi,ncpoet45: My twenty yr.old daughter just had surgery and they removed a very big cyst from her left ovary. Before her period, she would get this bad pain just like you are describing and for several months she would skip her periods.Please go see a Dr.(gyn) and check it out.I would hate for you to get that intense pain my daughter did. That's all I can suggest. They had placed her on birth control pills to see if it would dissolve but it didn't. Thank God it wasn't cancerous. Hope this helps, Grammah-Linda |
