| I ran into a friend of mine that that is 54 yrs old. She told me that she had not had periods for 3 years straight, thinking that she had gone through menopause, then all of a sudden she got her period, which she blames on extreme stress after losing her job in this recession. I know it affects everyone in different ways, but she took it very hard and that could be the reason she got her period back.
I am almost 51 and can't wait to stop having them!!!

| I have been told that if you don't have a period for a year and then have one, you should see your OB/GYN. I had one after a year of no periods, but thought it was normal, since I had all the other symptoms that go with PMS too. However 3 years seems a bit long. I would encourage her to see an OB/GYN to make sure all is okay. Anything is possible as far as getting pregnant! But not if she hasn't had sex! |
