40 and desperate to find out whats wrong

Woke up a couple of months ago with heartburn and an uneasy feeling like adrenalin. It did not go away and started to feel panicked, hot and then shivery. My husband called an ambulance. No heart attack, only thing they could find was low pottasium. I have since been checked for lots including cancer, heart, etc. Doc has me on omeprazole thinks I have an ulcer. Fine for past six weeks then whem friday night wake with adrenalin rush, heart racing and then have to have bowel movement. I get my period next day a week early and have felt dreadful again since. Nausea, hot, cold, shaky inside, funny tummy, yuk taste in mouth. My last period also came early too. I just feel really off. Quite emotional crying during ads. Feel like im losing it. Always been a healthy person. Have lost ten pounds as no choc or junk foor for past two months but also have no appetite. Help. Off to another doc tomorrow.

Is there a possibility of some kind of hormonal disorder? This is a wild thought, but I remember how upset my body was when I got close to menopause, including a tremendous tachycardia. Also when I moved to my current home and began suffering from seasonal depression, I found that it influenced my physical health significantly. Neither of these relates closely to your symptoms, but are examples of the kinds of systemic disorders that can result in a wide array of unpleasant symptoms.

P.S. Ahh, I didn't realize you had posted this on the menopause forum: so apparently hormones were on your mind already. Another thought: are you taking good care of your health generally? Exercise, healthy diet, positive mental habits, and so on?

I'd guess your rose bushes have been visited by the same rose slugs (sawfly larvae) that tend to attack rose bushes every late spring/early summer. This is usually a temporary problem--then the good predator bugs come along and gobble up the rose slugs, and there is no more problem. However, the bush is often left with ugly damaged leaves. I would just pluck off the worst looking ones, and then wait patiently for the bush to produce new leaves (followed by buds and then blooms). In the future, it would help if you checked the bushes in the late spring/early summer for tiny, tiny green wormlike things--usually on the underside of the leaves. When they are present, squish them. That will keep them somewhat under control until the good predator bugs arrive a couple weeks later. As for the not flowering well problem, that is just part of the normal bloom cycle of any rose. A rose blooms for a couple weeks, then the blooms deteriorate (turn brown) and fall off, then the bush rests and renews itself, then it starts blooming again. Most roses go through several bloom cycles per season. When the blooms deteriorate, the bush will look better if you deadhead it (pick of the brown old blooms). Deadheading sometimes encourages the bush to begin blooming sooner also. Hope that helps. Kate

Susanne, without a surfactant your foliar spray just sat on the leaf surface as drops. Using a surfactant highly reduces the surface tension of the spray, and causes the spray to form a complete film over the entire leaf surface (both top and bottom), thus GREATLY increasing the spray's efficiency. In my humble opinion red algea is worthless. Lastly, do you actually know what was the deficiency type that the tree was suffering under? Spraying this chemical and that chemical in the hopes that perhaps one of them will correct the deficiency can cause many additional problems. You can use any of the non-ionic surfactants, I always use TW-20 (aslo known as Tween-20.

Did you mean to post a photo? Just guessing, you may be overwatering it. They thrive outdoors but also do quite well indoors. The one thing I've found is I needed to cut back (Really Cut Back) on watering when they are indoors (I dribble some water on the surface so it may not even wet the entire surface area). All mine are in the basement in winter and outside in summer. Indoors when it is cold like it has been for the past week, the furnaces (two in the basement) run a lot and suck up a lot of moisture. Canes don't have a problem with lower humidity but they handle high humidity as well (outdoors). Here are a few photos of some of my canes last month and this month. This is Lucerna and my oldest cane (it goes back 40+ years). It hasn't done well in years because I neglect it and also overwatered it in the past. This is the first year it has bloomed in at least 3 to 4 years. It is showing a few spots of mildew but I hope the sulfur I applied last week will stop any more attacks. five pots of Sophie in this tray and it is just receiving a little light by being next to a light stand. Spotted Diana (the tiny white dots) is blooming quite a bit under an inexpensive shop light (it is in the same room as the two furnaces) The silver streaked leafed one is blooming too and its name is Down Home. Dream Lover is blooming too despite very dim light My own hybrid (Butch's Mac) is blooming right next to Dream Lover. Esther Albertine is blooming as well Dimitri is looking nice despite being between two light stands. The best my Looking Glass canes have looked in years. I bottom water these for the most part. I noticed they seem to prefer being on the drier side so sometimes I almost hold off until I see some wilt. A small glimpse of one corner of one room showing canes, rexes, and a big Freddie co-existing in a cramped area. This is East Gate and is a strong grower but I've never seen it bloom. It is pushed into a corner in the same room as the two furnaces.

I don't know if this will help, but I have also had what I would call adrenaline surges since starting perimenopause. They make me feel as if I'm really anxious, only it's not anxiety because one minute I'm totally engrossed in what I'm doing and the next I have an adrenaline surge in the center of my chest. I did some research on this on the internet and found a lot of women (I think it was on this very forum, a while back) who have experienced the same thing. Also, my first clue that I was starting perimenopause was what I've heard called "cold flashes", where I felt so cold I thought I was getting sick (like you do before a fever hits). Later that night, I had my first rapid heartbeat episode followed by night sweats. It's important to get checked out by your doc in case it's not perimenopause, but some of your symptoms sound familiar. Good luck!

Defo thinking hormonal. Even had colostrum leaking from my breasts the other day and I stopped breastfeeding nine months ago. Feel like I am pregnant. Like the worst empty stomach feeling. Terrible taste in mouth and kind of numb tounge. My stomach is rumbling all day long. Headaches during my period. Feeling a bit better today at least but need some sleep. Doc has taken hormones but she said they may not show anything. Mum was 42 when she started and was on hrt for six years. I almost hope they tell me it is perimenopause at least then I will know. I have the doctors a bit stumped. Not one of them has suggested it could be hormonal. Oh also losing quite a bit of hair.

Get your thyroid levels checked, if you haven't already. Hair loss is common about 3 to 5 months after having a baby, but it is also common with thyroid disorders. Your thyroid is the thermostat of your body and controls how many systems function, and it tends to go wonky sometimes after pregnancy and in perimenopause.
