mojavebob- Unfortunately Olena Ukrainian is not a heart and its too bad its not because it has been a highly productive plant for me. But it is PL. I have not tried any PL hearts but I believe there are some out there. Personally I can deal with the wispy droopy foilage that most hearts have. But I can understand how it can bother some people. What they lack in apperance they make up for in taste (most of them any way). The two heart varieties I would suggest for someone who cant handle the droopy, wispy and sparse foilage would be German Red Strawberry and Ukrainian Heart. Both of these varieties for me have heavier foilage than most hearts. I've also noticed that these two varieties once established in the garden are a lot less wispy and droopy than others. And the really good news is, in my opinion they are two of the finest tasting hearts you can grow. Oh, one other heart I took notice of this year, that also might intrest those who shy away from the hearts is Hugarian Heart, while not the tastiest heart I've ever had, it is a Bull at producing fruit and big ones at that. Hi melonwhelz, Sorry I didn't respond sooner, had a rough week taking my dog who has an incurable disease to all these different vets. He will be okay and I will just pray for the best as he is my bestest friend. Anyway, the day after I posted, I started to spot, thought I was going to get my period, but nope! It never happened. I have to make an app't to see my gyno. Yes, my body is very confused and sending mixed messages to my brain which I hate! At least when I had Lyme I knew all my symptoms including the mood swings and depression, but this is a whole new ballgame! I am feeling a different type of depression, almost like I am bored but too tired to do anything about it. I did receive the book "Awakening at Midlife" yesterday so I am going to start reading that. How is your sister? I help many people who have Lyme Disease because it is horrible and so misunderstood, especially by doctors because they don't know how to treat it. What helped me recover was following a book written by a brilliant doctor named Dr. David Jernigan (Beating Lyme Disease Using Alternative Medicine". I know so many people that are cured now because of Dr. Jernigan. Maybe your sister should buy the book? Anyway, I feel so drained, is that normal? I just want to say that NONE OF US are alone or crazy. My story is long... PMS started as a young teen and I had no idea what was going on. It eventually led to self-medicating, then to a slow and painful lifestyle of extreme addiction. Going on three years sober I'm grateful that I am now able to feel and understand my body to some degree. However (in a nutshell) since I hit my 40s - I'm now 42- the PMS has WORSENED. Not only the familiar severe anxiety that I have struggled with since a young teen but this horrible nausea that persists for up to two and a half weeks out of every month. I just started a birth control pill about a month ago and I'm praying that it works. I wish there would be more medical attention given to women's bodies and hormones and potential relief for some of the symptoms that are so debilitating. I have so many great things to be thankful for but I still don't feel like I can function at 100%, at least the hundred percent that I expect of myself! Thanks for listening. BTW I feel solid spiritually and I have a very healthy diet and exercise routine. Those help, I KNOW!! Any encouragement or suggestions welcome️
