| I have been used a standardized Black Cohosh supplement for about a year and a half (Remifemin). It worked very well to alleviate hot flashes, mood swings, etc. There became a problem with obtaining it in Canada as it was from made in Germany. It became available again through the U.S. but the price rose dramatically. I am now trying a product called NuFem which is half the price and from all I can tell has the exact 20 mg. standardized of Black Cohosh. It seems to let a few hot flashes slip through.
Has anyone been on this NuFem or Black Cohosh with good results too? I prefer natural products rather than HRT as I am hearing contradictory info. on estrogen replacement in the news later. |

Hi Nancy Yep.... Remefemin is very expensive in the US. I just bought another box last night and it was $19.00! Is NuFem the exact ingredients in it as Remefemin? I will have to look for it. I do like Remefemin, though and if I stop taking it because I run out and don't want to spend another $20.00, my body suffers with the hot flashes all over again. |
