Comments (6)Suesan, A long time ago I was on NSAIDS and antibiotics for awhile and I'm thinking they really did a permanent number on my GI tract. I, too, can't even take 1 aspirin or NSAID without having problems. This is strange.....but one time, I was trying to "detox" from the Fioicet I was on (new neurologist said its bad in that it causes rebound headaches), and really had nothing to use. The headache was so bad that I vomited. And the vomiting actually stopped the migraine! It was amazing. I think the pressure we build up in our brains when we vomit must have had an effect on the spasming/dilated vessels, and the horrible migraine stopped within seconds! So maybe you felt better after the DHE, because of the vomiting?? (I think those of us with migraines get a bit obsessive in trying to figure out how to stop these horrid things!) In retrospect, I began to realize that what really worsened my headaches for years, was the Proton Pump Inhibitor I was on for my GERD. I can't believe life might have been so much easier for me, if I'd just realized this back then! After my headaches subsided, I tried a PPI again, and sure enough, got a really bad headache. So everyone on PPIs, who have headaches, should consider that it might be the PPI worsening the headaches....See Moreprometrium
Comments (1)I only know that prometrium makes me VERY drowsy, so I take it at night, before bed (makes falling asleep a piece of cake:)...See MoreSide effects are affecting me, I think...
Comments (7)The most important sexual organ is the brain... Remember what anticipation and your imagination did for you before you were married? That's the opposite of what your "thinking brain" is doing to you now. Now, you're thinking about it and worried about it, and anticipating a let-down, not an incredible loving experience. Your brain is getting in the way of your body, and your body is still inexperienced and learning. Talking to your doctor about switching methods of birth control is a good step, but above that, don't think about "the problem" so much. Thinking about it will magnify it, not solve it. Next time you and your husband have the right opportunity, try putting on some romantic music, light a few candles, then turn your brain off. Talk with your husband about pleasant, lightweight things until any worries in the back of your head are gone. While you're talking, enjoy looking at your husband, and appreciate all of the attractive qualities he has that make you tingle. You want to re-build the emotional intimacy before even starting on the physical intimacy. Once you're both relaxed, concentrate on your feelings -- the texture of his skin, the sensations on yours. Take what's feeling good to you and really experience that. Feel, rather than think about, the experience, and let your body, not your brain, guide you. It may also help to tune some of your senses out (listening to the music, visualizing colors or textures) and some of your senses in (his touch, smell of his skin). But above all, don't involve the thinking, rational part of your brain past the part where you decide "yes"....See Morelpinkmountain
