A friend of mine has used two different methods to catch the seeds since, as he explained to me, the seeds will get flung quite a distance during pod dehiscence. One method was to tie a small piece of old pantyhose around the flowering area of the plant. This allows the plant to 'breath' still and prevents the seeds from getting away. In method two, (which I believe is the only method he uses now) he takes a small "blob" of the fiber fill used for stuffing in things like pillows and stuffed animals, streches it out into a rather wispy 'cloud' and mounds/gently wraps that over and around the pods. Again it allows for good air circulation, and catches the seeds thereby making seed recovery easy. He said he also finds this easier to apply than method one as well as less worrisome with regard to damaging the plant.

I suggest you get as many quotes as you can. The more quotes you get, the more educated you become. Make sure that the model numbers of both the condenser (outside unit) and air handler are written on the quote. This will avoid the "bait and switch". Your true cooling costs are determined by the Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) and not SEER, much to the misunderstanding of many people. Whichever SEER system you get, you want a 12 EER minimum. In my opinion, a 14 SEER / 12 EER offers you the best combination of purchase price and true operating costs. A good installation is more important than the brand name. For example, a properly installed Goodman will perform much better than a poorly installed Trane. Equipment is properly sized using a heat gain/loss calc called a Manual J. Plllog, I had that very notion going on Kitchens lol! Divotdiva, that's a big reason I'm getting the Bosch. I was at my SIL's and said something about running the DW, and she said "it's running now." I was standing right in the kitchen and couldn't hear it. g5spark, that's a good question. The place I'm getting it from is a huge appliance dealer so hopefully they are prepared for common modifications. I just looked and I think it just be hard-wired. Nothing is plugged in to the outlet under the sink, the disposal is hard-wired, and I can't see the DW wiring, must be under or behind.

Well, had the youngest baby's BD party on our AT and it was a big success! We ended up paying about $5,000 for the yard. The AT has a cooling agent (or the under stuff does) and the kids and dogs have so far been loving the yard! The dog actually spends a lot of his life living on this turf! When the temps get above 80*, I go out and test the turf, and it's just fine. The babies are happy and so am I! I still have some real lawn in the front yard, just trying to help with drought conditions that will (even though they say it's over in CA) continue in CA. I'm pleased! Enjoy your day!
