I must add that Kitten Little is no kitten just the size of one! She is about 10 and was born dead. I revived her and the mother refused to care for her.She was a runt and has stayed small.I would hold the mama down and make her nurse.Then my dog would nurture her and allow her to fake nurse. When she was older my daughter married and moved to the country so ahe took KL. My daughter left the abusive situation and weeks later we went back to rescue KL she had been used as target practice and was pencil thin. Daisy dog got so excited when we brought her home she licked her and cleaned her ears like old times.Drs wouldnt give her shots as they said she wouldnt last a week. I fed her cream and salmon til she was fat enough to get treatment and surgery on shotgun holes in her paws. I decided allergies or not, Kitten Little is home to stay!

I get the same thing from the Georgia clay soil here if left on my skin for too long. When I was a child in suburbs of Chicago I once got hives from playing in the snow. My mom rushed me to the doctor. They said I had an allergy to snow. I know that sounds crazy, but later I chalked it up to it being snow made of acid rain. When I moved to Georgia I get the same reaction to the clay soils. So my theory is I have a PH allergy to the acidicness of the clay soil. I just came inside after it happening now. It a weird way it’s good to hear others have this strange allergy. I was edging with an edger that has a blade cutter on it not the plastic string. It spit up some soil on my sweat covered leg and clung there. After a while it felt like I was standing in a fire ant mound covered in bites.

I do hope you took her to the vet already. My dog had a swollen toe, which I didn't think was a real problem since it didn't affect her walking or seem to bother her at all. I had taken her to the vet for other things and they noticed the toe, but didn't seem too concerned of it, so I figured they would know and left it as just another in a long line of benign bumps she'd previously developed. It became a natural part of life for months until it suddenly turned dark and made her limp, at which time I panicked and took her in. My deepest nightmare and regret... Even after they surgically took the toe off, she developed Mast Cell cancer from it. The surgery was too late and killed her about a month later. The kicker here is that once the toe turned dark, my vets relayed of their having heard of many other dogs getting Mast Cell cancer from swollen toes before and that if ever a dog had a swollen toe you should just take it off and not chance it, because even if it's benign in the beginning, the chances are it will turn later, and probably too late. These are the same vets that noticed it earlier and didn't say a damn thing! I'm angry and frustrated and just don't understand. I miss my girl terribly and feel I truly let her down. I know I was in denial and should have investigated further and not just count on bumbling doctors not paying attention or simply not giving a damn. I think I was afraid of knowing due to not being able to fix it, but this was fixable if caught in time. Please do not allow this to happen to your baby. You'll regret it forever. I do. My heart aches terribly from it all. I will never forget my beloved baby girl and pray I reunite with her in the ever-after when my time on this earth is done. God knows it would never be Heaven for me without her.

I grew up with asthma and eczema due to environmental allergies. Also have a serious allergy to peanuts, one of my first memories is refusing to eat a peanut butter sandwich because it gave me a tummy ache. Still have environmental allergies and peanut allergy and have added allergies to tree nuts, melons and avocado. If I eat a lot then it's bad, if I eat a trace then I have a mild stomach ache that lasts for weeks. It mimics hunger pangs so I eat and eat. Awful. Terribly allergic to cats but if I give the dogs a bath every few weeks I'm fine with them. Apparently I'm reacting to the pollens and such that get into their fur more than the dander as their licking annoys me but doesn't cause any problem. A couple times a kiss from a large dog has caused a reaction though. When I was commuting to college by bicycle I could ride through a mild asthma attack, that was wonderful. Sometimes I can walk through one nowadays. There's a Ukrainian physiologist who developed breathing patterns to correct the panicked pattern that asthmatics do, suspect that is what was going on when I rode or walked through a mild attack. It isn't supposed to work but it does for me.
