Comments (3)You can take the battery out and take it to your local auto parts store like autozone (if you do note how the cables are hooked up). They will usually charge it and load test it for free. As bill said the battery is probably dead dud. But, you still need to clean the battery terminals at both ends and try to charge it it you have a charger, if not take it and have it tested. If you stored it inside (garage or shed) they minimal start up maintenance will probably get her going. If it was sitting out in the rain then you may have you work cut out for you....See MoreHelp Me Choose..Don't know what to do?? See Pic
Comments (6)Our kitchen/breakfast room is open to the great room. Separate DR at front of house. As you can sort of see in the pictures linked below (look at #2 and #3), the travertine is in the kitchen/breakfast room (also back hall to laundry room, and to pantry, powder room and sunroom). We have wood in the rest of the main level rooms and it begins at the kitchen/great room and our cedar posts. In your plan, it seems the best thing to do is stone in kitchen/dining room and change to wood at columns into great room. I would also keep stone to front door, into your pantry area and powder room. Here is a link that might be useful: my kitchen...See Moredon't know what to do now
Comments (1)As challenging as it is, your best option is to detach from all of these issues. You said in your letter you will no longer participate in drama games. Now you have to follow through. "Detach" doesn't necessarily mean no contact. It does mean in whatever contact you have, you act in the way most comfortable and "right" for you without concerning yourself with their response. You are not responsible for your SDs or your husband, only yourself. I would not write any more letters (I wouldn't have written that one either, but what's done is done.) and I wouldn't ask any more questions or complain to your husband. You've had years to figure out none of those strategies get you anywhere. In fact, any attempt to engage just feeds their egos and sets you up for further ridicule. If there are future encounters, before they occur try to run through in your head what might happen and plan a response. In other words, role play, so you know in advance how you're going to handle it. I'm sure you know the drill well enough to figure out what these women might do. Also, try to think of responses totally different from your usual. Don't act hurt. Don't act as if you care at all. You're not part of this game anymore and it matters not at all what they do. At first this may require some good acting but in time it will become second nature. You know the saying, Fake it until you make it. And the deviled eggs? If SD pulls something like that just say, "Oh, I see you have deviled eggs. I'm so glad I brought a cooler. I'll just put these back in the car to snack on later." See what I mean? They've had the upper hand far too long. It's time to turn the tables....See MoreNeed help with roof framing ASAP - my framers don't know what to do
Comments (4)"I checked the code and it says you can't notch bigger than 1/4 of the depth." Refer to R802.7.1.1 http://premiumaccess.iccsafe.org/document/code/272/4634063 OTHER notches go by R502.8.1 http://premiumaccess.iccsafe.org/document/code/272/4602731 Around here, this situation usually comes up where the old walls are 2×4 construction, and the new walls are 2×6. This usually helps with the larger notch and still getting full bearing on the bird's mouth....See Moreamyfiddler
