Such a beautiful setting, and the fragrance must be wonderful with the jasmine in bloom. I love the trellis you used to support the jasmine. It looks very nice against the white wall. I also noticed the spot light. I have a feeling the whole area turns magical at night when the spot is lit and it illuminates the white jasmine and the fountain. Beautiful! Marilyn

DH likes to dress up for Beggars Night. Last year he was Tom Brady - Brady jersey, Patriots sweatpants, and one of those gisnt knee braces. No one seemed to "get it". This year he's going to be a Viking - kilt, medieval-looking shirt, plastic Viking helmet with horns and blond braids, plastic sword. I'm going to wear my black woolen cloak over regular black clothes and my "Sabbat-go-to-meeting" hat that someone made for me - it's your standard pointy witch's hat festooned with fake flowers, lace, trailing bits of organza. It's amusing, to say the least. No Samhain party this year: I put my foot down and said that if the rest of the circle wants gatherings they can get off their @$$es and organize one, but I'm tired of chasing people and nagging them about whether they're coming, what they're bringing for potluck (so we don't have eight bags of chips and no actual food).

I just wanted to update you all. Dd and I chose five different dresses and sent them to the bride. I tried to present a range of choices, though Dd was pretty adamant that she wanted something simple--she didn't like anything with ruffles or beading or such. I also said in my email to her that we would be happy to do whatever she wanted so if she had something different in mind to please just let me know. Here's the moodboard I sent. (Dd did not like D, E, and F so I deleted them. A, B and C are from Nordstrom. G is from NextDirect. And H is from Gymboree.) The bride said any of them would be just fine, but that she particularly liked G, with A as a second choice if G didn't fit well once we got it. As it turns out G was also dd's favorite, which is nice. I went ahead and ordered it. It's from NextDirect which tends to sell out of things and not restock so I decided to take a chance on size and order now. I am going to wait on shoes as I find kid shoe sizes harder to predict than clothes. I'm hoping I will find comfortable white or gold Mary Janes or ballet flats. I will consult with the bride about those too. Thank you all for your help!

I heard on tv somewhere that her dress was silk cotton lace - that sounds soft and lovely to me. I can't get enough of the pictures of the entire wedding party and guests LOL, not sure why it has such a fascination to me. I also remember being entranced with Diana at her wedding and afterwards when her babies were born, I just never got tired of seeing them. I also fondly remember following Tricia Nixon Cox and Julie Eisenhower when they were married, and I even took a day off from work to watch Tara and Phillip get married on All My Children (that was pre-vcr recording days)! I'm sure when I put my mind to it I'll remember some more weddings that fascinated me. Oh right, Jenna Bush Hager just popped into my head. And Katie Couric's second wedding looked lovely! I guess I could keep going!
