But, believe me, some mates do exactly that! Why? Because it suits them to do so. Perhaps they are well cared for, looked after, and their rut suits them just fine. Many times, the offending mate doesn't have the courage or need to sever the relationship, because they are comfortable not offering anything to the significant other, nor do they have the emotions to do so.

All i can say when you are in a relationship like that is to depart as soon as you can, because it doesn't get better. In fact, it gets much worse.
