Request Research Links For Modular

Posted by china011 (My Page) on

I posted this summer asking about Hi-Tech and got a comment back never to purchase one made in IN due to their poor record and noted that Hi-Tech was not good either.

Does anyone have any links to show facts about IN modulars and/or modular companies that are rated/ranked by which ones are better than others?

Thanks in advance

No, I don't have any links for you but you might check with the Better Business Bureau or your state's Attorney General's office. Check with the state's consumer affairs office if there is one.

I remember the post in which someone made the claim that you should avoid any house built in Indiana. I've been in the modular industry for 17 years and never heard that "fact." Given the lack of any reference citation, I'd question the credibility of the poster. Your own research will prove to be a better guide.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for your input, I appreciate your candor. I was thinking along those lines as well but thought there may be some granularity to the comments.

We've been to the business three times and observed houses in various state of production and several houses that are complete. The better business bureau lists no complaints filed. I will check the attorney general's/consumer affairs office.

Best regards
