Building specifications - SE TX manufactured housing

Posted by starrthurber (My Page) on

I own 5 acres in Southeast Texas, near Winnie (but still in Jefferson County, which makes a difference in some things);

I am looking to buy a manufactured house (or modular house if I can find a retailer) to put on it. I am reading about "built to .... specifications". The same for Ratings - EX: R-22 rated fiberglass or "built to LS specifications"

A simple search does not provide direct answers. Is there a website that provides the meanings of these specifications?

Does anyone on this forum have suggestions?

I did find this site, which promises to be exciting in many ways and I look forward to exploring it!

Thanks! Starr

Manufactured homes are built to the national HUD standard for manufactured homes. Modular homes are built to the local building code.
