Mobile Home addition

My husband and I are enclosing an existing covered back porch and converting it into a living room. The entire structure (mobile home and existing stick built additions) are covered by a conventional roof. All are set on concrete blocks. We think there are footings underneath, but not sure.

One of the walls that will be in the new living room is the exterior wall of the mobile home (1972), and two are the exterior walls of the stick built additions. We are putting a wall of windows where the screen porch used to be. The room will be built on a concrete slab that is elevated over a crawl space.

Does anyone know if 1/2" drywall will be too heavy to place on the exterior wall of the mobile home (which would become the interior wall of the new room)? We are a little concerned about the different structures settling at different rates, as we have read about on other sites. The home has been like this for at least 10 years, though, with no problems. The people who made the improvements did an excellent job.

Any suggestions, concerns? Thank you for any ideas.
