can roaches chew a big whole through a sealed flour bag?

I was about to fumigate my home when i noticed a pretty good size whole chewed through a unopened flour bag. I was mortified! I have had a huge problem with very large roaches. so big you can sometimes confuse them with mice. Haven't seen amouse but ma afraid it might have been a mouse. SO thats the reason why i ask about roaches chewing through flour bags. thanks for any advice!
