vents in ceiling?

Posted by sunnie62 (My Page) on

My daughter is going to rent a mobile home and looked at one with vents on the floor and there are plastic mesh vents in the ceiling that someone put cardboard in. What are the ceiling vents for and why did they put cardboard in them? Thanks

RE: vents in ceiling?

about the vents in the ceiling I am inquiring about, someone told me that since they put a shingled roof on the mobile home and no vent a ridge, they put ceiling vents in to circulate the air in the ceiling. Have never heard of this. That is why the cardboard is there so the HOT/COLD air doesn't come in the home. Does that make sense??
