Noisy Electric Furnace/AC Motor in Closet

We are in a doublewide mobile home and are suffering with the noisy electric fan for the furnace/AC. I am wondering if we can line 3 sides of the closet with that blue insulation board which is lined with either plastic or foil. Will that at least help????

My guess is that it won't make a big enough difference. We ended up moving ours to an outside unit and making that furnace area into a closet. We couldn't hear anything with that thing running.
