Wall strips covering mobile home seam?

| I am planning to remove the strips on the wallboards of my DW and paint them, but am concerned about the wider strips that run along the seam where my DW is joined in the middle. Can those be removed, filled and painted like the rest of them? |

| Yes in most cases. You may have to use some backer materiel in the cracks before applying the joint compound. If the crack is too wide you may have to use drywall tape also. |
