Million dollar Manufactured homes

I remember seeing a story about this on the news about two years ago. The home owners did some intense remodeling indoors unlike the ones in the link below. They don't seem to have done much to change them. The ones I saw on that news special had marble countertops in the kitchen and baths. Those waterfall type faucets etc. Then they showed underneath and yup they still had the wheels. The improvements made on those homes were fantastic!

I'm not starting this thread to argue what is better manufactured, modular, stick built. I say get what you want. I just thought it might be interesting to read about.

Heres other links to Upscale Mobile Homes as the story calls them.

I find this one so quote from the link below so funny!

(((Clay Dickens, vice president of Community West Bank, who finances lending for mobile home purchases, agrees. "Mobile homes are a trend that is still going up," he said. "It's a $10 million dollar view for those who can't afford a $10 million dollar home; it's the last bastion of affordable housing.")))

1.6 million is affordable housing! LOL

Here is a link that might be useful: Million dollar mobile home article

RE: Million dollar Manufactured homes

There's a manufactured home park in Florida where the price of admission is a million dollars. They're very nice homes. A number of owners are those that own million dollar motor coaches that travel the country and want a place to stay in Florida.
