| We are remodeling our kitchen and we are adding an island with a floating top. The island top will be elevated from the cabinet height top to a 42" bar top. The feet for the island are acrylic tubes that are 2" in diameter and 4.5" tall. Since they are clear acrylic, we are thinking that it would be great to light them. We don't have any experience with Fiber optic lighting, but it seems like it would work. We have power in the cabinets that support the island and quite a bit of space at the back of the drawers. Would fiber optic work. Is there another low voltage option. The tubes are sealed on both ends. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks! |

| Fiber optics is just a conduit for light. It is typically used to create tiny points of light in an area far removed from the light source. It may be simpler to consider using low voltage flexible led strips/ pucks. |
