High hats - line or low voltage?

Posted by Brirose (My Page) on

I need to make a decision about what type of high hat to put in my addition. I live in a traditional 1920s colonial. Any recommendations regarding what high at type to use in bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms, and hall?

Low voltage lighting costs more. If you don't have to redo the existing wiring (ie - knob and tube replacement), it would be cheaper to use line voltage.
