I used the CREE Home Depot lights in my 6" cans in the kitchen. I had two off 5" cans in a bay window, I could only get HD's Commerical lighting fixtures in them. OK, but not as good as the CREE (Unable to pull the lighting fixture down, no adjustable screw so the CREE would not screw in.) Anyway I like the Crees so much I want to do the rest of the house (another 20 or so lights.)

Since they are so easy to install, I can't see using an electrician however my main obstacle is how to get to those middle of the room ceiling lights (extension ladder won't work.) My ceilings are only about 11 or 12 feet high but bringing the can down means I need to be pretty close. Anybody have any suggestions on what type of ladder would work well? My ladders are hand me down wobbly aluminum and wood, I'm sure to disable myself with these! Looking to buy some a new ladder.
