My home builder *loved* vaulted ceilings. Personally, I'm not a big fan, but dh is, and this house was a good compromise for us.

With that said, the vaulted ceiling and lighting in my dining room is driving me nuts.

The ceiling has this odd triangle indentation in it. I have no good way to describe this, so I hope it comes through on the pictures. There are two recessed cans for lighting the entire room. That's it.

I have brought a bevy of lamps into the room for temporary lighting assistance. What I really want is a chandelier of some sort - but I can't figure out how to make that work with the ceiling. Anyone have a suggestion?
