It seems like some light fixtures "use bulbs" more rapidly, regardless of how often the fixtures are used. I'm certain I am using the correct bulbs. The repeat offenders are pendant lights in our kitchen. We are original owners of house/light fixtures (approx 8 yrs old). Seems we change the bulbs frequently, while others have either never been changed, or maybe once... I'm good about following guildelines/directions when it comes to electrical stuff... Could it be the fixture?
