Need advice re skylight fixture

We just put in a 4'x2' non-bubble skylight in our study. We removed the old [and awful] ceiling light fixture in the process. But we would still like some sort of wall-switched overhead lighting fixture there, though it doesn't have to light the whole room, since we prefer lamps to do most of the work. Any advice about what looks good next to or attached to a skylight? I haven't a clue what people do for this. Thanks for your help.

Have you considered a ceiling fan with a light kit?

I have skylights and have a lot of heat gain both summer and winter, so having the fans help with moving the warm air in the winter.
