What kind of bulbs do you use in your outdoor fixtures?

I tried CFLs but they did not work with my timer. I did some research and found out that my timer only works with incandescent bulbs. Also, I could not get a clear answer on whether CFLs last long in cold climates. I'm still using incandescent flood lights. What kind of bulbs are you using?

LED bulbs, perhaps the best option to save the money and environment from infected and toxic gases. There are several things to learn about LED Lights.

I have had some regular CFLs in my outdoor fixtures for at least 3 or 4 years with no sign of needing replacement. It takes a while for them to get bright when turned on, but since the outdoor lights tend to get turned on and left on for several hours, this isn't an issue for us. We get down to -15 most years.
