Very dim can light in shower

Help! They installed a can light in our shower, the electrician really suggested a led can and we said ok. Well it turns out that it is so dim it seems like a nightlight. They put a different lens and the brightest bulb they say they can, still really dim. They say that it is the best they can do because they can't change it because of the spray insulation on top of it. Suggestions?

What size can is it (4", 5", 6")? What is the depth of the can, from ceiling to top inside?

What type of LED is installed? If it is a "bulb" with some sort of cover over it, you can probably do significantly better.

If you get something like the 800 lumen version of the CREE CR6 (assuming 6" can), you should have plenty of light for the shower.

Give more details, and people can provide better advice.

I installed a 6" Utilitech LED retrofit in our shower and you have to wear sunglasses in there. I installed a dimmer.
