 o
Pendant lights - just the base

Hi,

After lurking around gardenweb for a month while self-renovating our kitchen I've finally come across a question that I can't seem to answer with previous posts (a very rare occasion!)

Executive summary: Where can I find/purchase pendant light bases only - without the shades?

Longer story: After searching several thousand shades online, my wife has found her shade choice at Lowes in their mix and match selection. However the base fixture they carry is only candelabra bulb compatible despite the shade stating it can be used w/candelabra or medium base bulbs. Medium base bulbs obviously give me more options of lamp types. I could get an E12 (candelabra) to E26 (medium) converter socket, but that chews up height and seems like a waste if I can just find a place which sells just the base fixtures without the shades.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rob

I think it is a pendent light 'fitter' that you are looking for.

Might this Westinghouse 70285 Bronze Mini Pendant Kit be what you are looking for?

Or, this Westinghouse Single Light Pendant Fitter - Nickel be what you are looking for?

What finish are you looking for?

Sue,

That's the exact sort of thing I was looking for! I'm looking for a brushed nickel/stainless look since the rest of the kitchen is being put together with the stainless look.

Many thanks - you've made my day!

Rob
