Aligning recessed lights with smoke detectors

| My hallway ceilings throughout the house has a line of recessed lights. My electrician needs to wire smoke detectors to those areas in the ceiling. Should I have him place the smoke detectors so they line up with the recessed lights down the center? I'm thinking that would look better than having them randomly placed and too noticeable if they were off center. |
