We like a light fixture that uses these bulbs: (2)50w T3 DC Bay 120v Krypton/Xenon. They will go on each side of our upper vanity cabinets over the sink and out a few inches from the mirror. I've read a lot here about bulbs and bathroom lighting for makeup and shaving purposes, but these are new to me. I thought the T bulbs were only fluorescent. Do these provide warm light? And will they allow old eyes to see well enough to shave and apply makeup?

They are terrific. I still use the old 40W and 60W KX2000 Krypton bulbs in our bathroom. The light is warm and bright while not being too yellow.

Great--thanks granite man. Can you also help with the effect of different types of bulbs on granite color in a kitchen or bath?

Sure, what color granite do you have? Is it high polished?
