Seems to me that the 60" would work well.

I've seen the charts, and they are kind of all over the place. Our last house it flattened out at 14', and we had a 48" downrod. It was great. This house (today actually) we realized they shipped a 48", but we returned it and ordered 72". Our new ceiling is just a smidgen above 16'. Our room is 18'x 22', with the vault having about a 4' flat spot on the top of the vault. Our fan is 60". Just my 2 cents. Good luck

yes, kcinkc71, those charts are basically the opposite of one another haha.

we're about to go down this weekend and finish our lighting order and we are 99.9% sure we're going to be doing the 60". the 48" just seems too short. my goal was to get the blades about 11' from the ground (which is average from what I've read). by choosing the 5' rod and roughly 1' for the motor, we'll be almost right at 11'.
