Will new light fixture fit?

I just ordered a new light fixture for my porch. I'm concerned that the backplate will be a bit too wide. The backplate in the old fixture is 5 in and it fits snugly against the wood door trim on one side. The new fixture description states the backplate is 5 1/4 in. Is there any lateral adjustment that can be made when the new one is installed? Thank you.

most likely not, however you can take a chisel or a file and cut out the additional 1/4" needed.
