I wouldn't put a drum light like that in such a tall space. It's not just diameter -- I think the proportions are wrong for a foyer. You also need to be mindful or your other fixtures, woodwork details, leaded glass and pick something that works with them.

This one is only 18 inches wide, but it is over 38 inches tall. That fits the smaller and taller space of the foyer. (sorry -- tried to include the photo but could only link it)

What are the dimensions of the foyer. We have a somewhat narrow two story foyer and a glass drum fixture with four lights works fine.
