Our living room faces the north and it was recommend to me to purchase some "uplighting". I have looked at some sites and will order one.

However, I have heard that the canned uplighting gets very hot and don't use around children or animals. Are there any products that are a little cooler?

I am adding another buffet lamp, however, think that the

uplighting would make quite a difference too. I would just like to use a cooler option.
