Uplighting Items to help a gloomy LR

Posted by sunflowersoni (My Page) on

Our living room faces the north and it was recommend to me to purchase some "uplighting". I have looked at some sites and will order one.

However, I have heard that the canned uplighting gets very hot and don't use around children or animals. Are there any products that are a little cooler?

I am adding another buffet lamp, however, think that the
uplighting would make quite a difference too. I would just like to use a cooler option.

Thank you for all your replies.

I have a 55W fluorescent torchiere for uplighting. I also have a cove light fixture from electrix lighting. It was very expensive but worked for my living room. Any fluorescent lighting will be much cooler.

Here is a link that might be useful: Electrix cove light
