Undercabinet lighting again - can they be prewired by builder?

I can never seem to learn enough about undercabinet lights. After reading many threads, I still have questions.

Our builder's standard is $217 for each Seagull Lighting Holagen under cabinet light they put in. From what I've read on this forum, I should stay away from holagen because of the heat issue. My builder can upgrade to Xenon but they'll have to stick to Seagull. And it'll probably cost a lot more. I've heard good things about Juno and Pegasus Xenon lights. I am wondering if this is something I can ask the builder to prewire (for $100 each maybe), and purchase and put in the lights on my own later. I seem to recall that these Xenon lights need transformers that need to be hidden. Does that mean that prewire isn't an option at all? Many thanks!
