Cost to light up one tree

The electrician quoted $450 to light up one tree that will turn on via switch in garage approx 20 feet from tree. Does this seem right? Thinking of just putting a solar light in as that area is SE facing.

Sounds about right to me especially if he is providing the lights, transformer, digging the trench etc. etc.
Solar lights are good, but not comparable at all for brightness.
