Bathroom vanity light direction

I recently purchased a new vanity light for our downstairs guest bathroom. In the store, the display had the glass shades pointing down. I was looking on a lighting website for a different item, and found the same fixture, described as an "up light". Will it matter if we install it the other direction?

As long as there are screws to hold the shades on, you should be able to install it either way.

I think it won't matter. If you know to screw it on and the light fixtures design and style compliments your bathroom. I guess there would be no problem.
