update 2010: Lutron vs. Leviton dimmers and switches?

I'm hoping to find stainless dimmer switches for our kitchen renovation, and Leviton seems to make these, but our electrician is partial to Lutron, which seems not to have a stainless option for the switch. Would you knowledgeable folks comment on whether there is a difference in quality? or a reason not to use metallic wall plates and switches? Any difference in the energy efficiency of the switches? Any other manufacturer I should be considering?

You might also post this in the kitchen forum because I am finding very little activity in this forum.

I'm partial to Lutron too, but Levitron is a reputable company and I wouldn't hesitate to use them if they have the finish you want.
