pendant lighting near a ceiling fan

Hello all... I am updating my ceiling fan in my great room. about 5 feet from the ceiling fan is a track lighting system that i am updating as well...The ceiling is an 18 foot slanted vault so the ceiling fan will be put on a down rod about 12 feet high..... I found this wonderful track lighting system at the big box store that has two spot lights and two pendant lights... my question is has anyone ever installed a pendant lighting system near a ceiling fan? I'm just wondering how it would look... I have attached a picture of the old lights/fan that are being replaced so you can get an idea of the spacing I am working with

I can't speak to how it will look, but I do know that when you have pendants near a fan, if they are on a cord, as opposed to a rod, they will sway in the breeze the fan creates. Just something to think about.
Also, the remodeling forum gets more traffic than lighting so you may want to cross-post.
