Anyone have experience meaning success with the battery LED lights for under kitchen cabinets? We're thinking of trying it out before hiring an electrician and avoid the cost. Thanks

They will not be a good solution as the output will not be enough, the batteries will not last long. The best options are either 120V AC (direct wire) or low voltage lighting that is hardwired.

We are considering some that we found at Costco for only $20. They are Megabrite undercabinet lights. The reviews on Amazon are pretty good. We just can't see paying for hardwire lights. This seems to be the new big thing. Every single electrician we spoke to before we started our kitchen remodel pushed them. It's like granite. Everyone thinks they have to have it.
