Hello-

I have a Vibia mini-sandwhich flush mount lighting fixture, the round version at about 6 inches in diameter. I have gotten the exact bulb the fixture specifies, which is a 50W 120V GY6.35 halogen lamp.

Everytime i put it in - and I've been using a cloth so that my skin oils are not making contact with the bulb - it blows out in less than a second.

Is it the switch? The bulb? Is the bulb the wrong capacity? Could it be the lighting fixture itself? The wiring was done according to code by a licensed electrician.

This is a mystery to me, and the people oat Vibia are not very nice or accessible. . . . not the representatives here in the states, at least. I would have to wait until the factory in Spain opens again in September. .. they are closed in the month of August.

Any advice or insight?
