They look pretty cool, but the reviews on Home Depot gives a big thumbs down on implementation. They look nice, and frankly, your post excited me, but after reading the reviews, they sound like they need reengineering (not the light engine, but how they mount).

Is anyone using these?

They're sold at home depot in various sizes, about 100 lumens / sqft. Seems like they'd be nice alternatives to recess lights in certain parts of the house.

I worry about needing the special ELV dimmers, which the reviews seem to suggest are needed.
