| I am new to the Lighting Forum and feel you gave give me the answer I'm looking for. This may be a stupid question but who should install landscape lighting - an electrician or landscaper? I've read the posts here about problems that can occur so I'd like to avoid those if possible and hire the right person to do the job. |

| That's a tough call. Anyone can dig a trench and drop in some wire (at least for low voltage). Most landscapers are probably familiar with the actual lights. But you do have to deal with the wiring of the switch and transformer. I'd definitely use an electrician for that. I suppose if you want to be official, use an electrician as it's electrical items being installed. The fact that it's outside doesn't make a difference. |
